Thomas A. LaTanzi
Real Estate
Thomas A. LaTanzi was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1942. He graduated from Brown University (A.B., 1964) and received his law degree from Boston College Law School (LL.B., 1967). After admittance to the Bar in 1967, Tom practiced with a law firm in Orleans before founding LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, P.C. in 1969. He served as Town Counsel for the Town of Orleans from 1971 to 1972 and was the Town Moderator from 1983 to 1989. He is a member of the Barnstable County and Massachusetts (Member, Board of Delegates, 1980-1982) Bar Associations. Tom has also been a member of the Hearing Committee for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers, a former director of Legal Services for Cape Cod and the Islands, Inc., a director and former president of Nauset Workshop, Inc., and a former president of the Orleans Rotary Club.
Lawrence O. Spaulding, Jr.

Lawrence O. Spaulding, Jr. was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1947. He was educated at Trinity College (B.A., 1969) and received his law degree from Boston College (J.D., 1972). Larry joined the firm 1972, after admission to the Bar, and became a partner in 1975. Larry served as Town Counsel for the Town of Orleans from 1973 to 1982 and for the Town of Brewster from 1973 to 1983. He was a director of Legal Services for Cape Cod and the Islands, Inc. from 1974 to 1984 and 1997 to 2005. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod and was President from 1979 to 1980. Larry is a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association (President, 1984-1986), the Massachusetts Bar Association (Delegate, 1988-1990), and the City Solicitors and Town Counsel Association. He was elected a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 1986. Larry was appointed by the Governor to be a Public Administrator for the County of Barnstable in 1991.
Duane P. Landreth

Duane P. Landreth was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1942, and graduated from Dartmouth College (A.B., 1964) and Boston University School of Law (J.D., 1974). He was an associate with Thompson, Hine & Flory, in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1976 he joined the firm, becoming a partner in 1981. He has served as Town Counsel in Provincetown (1978-82) and Brewster (1983-84), and as special town counsel in Brewster and Harwich. He was chairman of the Charter Commission for the Town of Orleans in 1985-1986 and has been the Orleans Moderator since 1993. He is a member of the Barnstable County and Massachusetts Bar Associations.
Brooks S. Thayer

Brooks S. Thayer was born in New York City, New York, in 1959. He attended Dartmouth College (B.A., 1981), and earned both a law degree and a Masters degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University (M.B.A., J.D., 1986). At Vanderbilt Law School, he received the American Jurisprudence Award for achievement in the subject area of Wills and Trusts. Brooks was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1986, and practiced with the law firm of Goldstein & Manello in Boston until he associated with this firm in 1993. He became a partner in January 1997. Brooks has been designated a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and is a member of the Massachusetts, Barnstable County and Boston Bar Associations (Member, Probate Law Section). Brooks is also a member and a Director of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and past President and a Director of the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod. He acts as a Trustee or Director of numerous charitable organizations and foundations, and has served on several town committees, including as Chairman of the Orleans Commission on Disabilities. In addition, Brooks is an EMT and has been an active member of the Orleans Fire Department and Rescue Squad for over twenty-five years.
Lisa F. Sherman

Lisa F. Sherman was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1966. She attended the University of New Hampshire (B.A., 1988, Cum Laude) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D., Cum Laude, 1992) where she was selected as the outstanding woman law graduate for 1992 by the National Association of Women Lawyers. Lisa joined the firm as an associate in 2000 and became a partner in January 2003. Before joining the firm, she was associated with the Boston law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP (1992-2000), where she represented clients in a variety of litigation matters. Lisa is a member of the American, Barnstable County, and Massachusetts Bar Associations (Probate and Litigation Sections), as well as a member of the Massachusetts Family and Probate Inn of Court and the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod. She is a member of the board of directors for many non-profit organizations, including The R.O.S.E. (Regaining One’s Self Esteem) Fund and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod.

Before joining the firm in 2003, Melanie was associated with the Boston law firm of Bingham McCutchen LLP (1996-2003), where she represented clients in a variety of finance and corporate law matters. Bonnie-Jean Arbogast Nunheimer

Bonnie-Jean was born in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1967. She attended La Sorbonne in Paris, France (certificat, 1989) and Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (B.A., 1990). She is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law (J.D., 2001) where she received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Academic Excellence in Contracts. Bonnie was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in January, 2002. Prior to joining LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, Bonnie was a Managing Regional Senior Attorney for the Social Security Law Group, LLP in Braintree, Massachusetts and handled Social Security Disability Insurance appeals throughout the United States. She is a member of the Massachusetts, Barnstable County and Real Estate Bar Associations; Nauset Regional School Committee; Board of Directors, Cape Cod Collaborative; Chairman, Budget and Finance Committee; Nauset Regional Middle School Council (2007- ).

Dana A. Berry was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1948. Dana graduated from Tufts University (A.B., 1970) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 1973) and was admitted to the Bar in 1973. Dana is a member of the Barnstable County and Massachusetts Bar Associations. He joined the firm in 1973 as an associate. Dana served as Chairman of the Charter Commission for Provincetown from 1989-1990 and as Chairman of the Personnel Board for Provincetown from 1990-1996, and was a member of the Provincetown School Committee from 1999-2002.
Joseph E. Mullin

Joseph E. Mullin was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1974. He attended Providence College (B.A., cum laude, 1996) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D. 2001) and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2002. Before joining LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, Joe was a volunteer prosecutor in both the Plymouth County and Barnstable Country District Attorney’s Offices, where he worked in both the arraignment session and trial session. While there, he was the prosecuting attorney for over a dozen jury and bench trials. From 2002 – 2006, Joe worked as an attorney for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue’s Child Support Enforcement Unit, where he assisted custodial parents in the establishment of paternity and support orders, and modification and enforcement of those orders. He is a member of the Barnstable County, Massachusetts, American and Quincy Bar Associations. In 2002, Joe was a candidate for the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 5th Plymouth District. He was also an elected town meeting member and an appointed committee member of Fair Housing Commission in Weymouth. He is currently a member of the Mashpee Planning Board.

Christopher J. Ward was born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1972. He attended the University of Vermont (B.A. 1995), Western New England College School of Law (J.D. 2001) and Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M 2002). Before joining the firm in 2007, Chris was an associate with the Hyannis firm of Haddleton & Associates, P.C. Chris is a member of the Barnstable, Massachusetts, Florida and American Bar Associations (Probate Sections). Chris is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Cape Cod Estate Planning Council and was appointed to the Trust Fund Advisory Board for the Town of Barnstable. Chris is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Florida, as well as the United States Tax Court.
Harry S. Terkanian

Harry S. Terkanian was born in New London, Connecticut in 1948. He received degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (S.B., 1970) and from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 1975). Harry was admitted to the Bar in 1975 and began his practice as a sole practitioner and later as an associate with Attorney Charles Frazier, before joining the firm as an associate in 1983. He became a partner in 1986. He withdrew from the firm at the end of 2004 and now maintains an of counsel relationship with the firm. Harry served as Town Counsel for the Town of Wellfleet from 1977 to 1983 and served as Wellfleet Town Moderator from 1979 through 1999 and 2006 to date. He is a member of the Barnstable County and Massachusetts Bar Associations.
Jennifer S. D. Roberts

Jennifer S. D. Roberts was born in Rochester, New Hampshire in 1954. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College (A.B., cum laude, 1977) and Boston University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1980) before being admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1980 and the New York Bar in 1981. Jennifer began practicing with Chadbourne, Parke in New York City in 1980, before moving to Boston, where she became a litigation partner with Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster. In 1993, Jennifer moved to Cape Cod, where she established her own practice, before joining LaTanzi, Spaulding & Landreth in 2006. During the course of her practice, Jennifer has been responsible for numerous kinds of civil litigation matters, most recently focused on real estate, construction, condominium and probate litigation. She is a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association (President, 2003-2004) and the Massachusetts Bar Association (Delegate, 2003-2004). She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Cape Cod Healthcare, Inc., the parent corporation of Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital.
